Hello!
I’m Brenda Arychuk, owner and instructor at Mountain Flo. After decades as a nutrition professional in health care, I worked with individuals to help maximize their health and wellness. However, my own health challenges presented after a serious back injury from a car accident left me in pain and unable to enjoy the activities I once loved. After years of silent struggle, I realized I needed to start moving again and feel safe doing it. Along the way, I discovered a new approach to yoga and Pilates that focuses on safety and self-awareness. After hundreds of hours of training, I became a certified instructor in mindfulness meditation, yoga, and Pilates. My goal is to help others not only feel better in their bodies, but also to move past self-limiting beliefs, pain, or injury. In every session, I encourage listening to your body and making adjustments that work for you, so together we can explore how the lessons from the mat and reformer can bring more strength, ease, and calm into daily life.

The Mountain Flo Story
It all started with a love for nature and yoga. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery and fresh, clean air, far from the city’s noise, I felt inspired to share this passion with my community a few years ago. What began as one yoga class a week quickly grew into three, then more, adding Pilates both on the Mountain and at the Pilates Plus Fitness studio in Oliver. We’ve grown beyond just yoga and meditation—because when you see the body and mind as one, there are so many elements that help us reach our goals. Breath, flexibility, and strength come together for a healthier, more balanced life.
Today, Mountain Flo is enjoyed not only by locals but also by visitors from near and far. Classes are personalized, fun, and safe, welcoming all levels. We practice indoors in a serene studio with views and outdoors when the weather permits.
Above all, Mountain Flo is about coming together, sharing the love of movement and wellbeing, and embracing who we are, wherever we are in our personal journeys.
